Does the roku 3 work on older tv? null

The only output for the Roku 3 is a HDMI cable. The Roku one has the power and features of the Roku 2 and 3, but features a standard RCA (white, red, yellow) output for use with older TVs. If you must have a Roku 3, I suggest finding a HDMI to RCA conversion cable.

The Roku 3 only has an HDMI output jack which older TV's don't have. There are HDMI to RCA converters available that translate the signals to the red, white and yellow RCA cords but in my experience, the picture suffers dramatically, though the sound is OK. In short, even the cheapest brand new TV on the market would give much better results than converting the Roku 3 to an old TV. Or, the original Roku could work too.

My tv is from 2007 and works great on it. As long as you have an hdmi port on tv and wireless internet or a way to connect it directly to internet should work on your tv

Hello, your TV must have a HDMI input in order to connect and use the Roku 3 streaming device. Their are all types of connecting cables which may allow you to connect the Roku 3 to your older TV. I would check with Fry's electronics, to see if they have some type of adaptor cable which you can use to connect the Roku 3 to your older TV. Hope this helps you!

You have to specify what input on older TV real old TV has rabit ear screw connector next rca next is cable coax next is dmi next is optial next is hdmi next and last is composite and then its analog digital 720 1080 or 4K So how old and what connector is what you need to tell us.

Roku 3 needs an HDMI connection to your TV, so it probably depends on what you mean by "older tv." If you have an analog TV, I don't know of any way to connect a digital streaming device.
