Hello MicheleM, Unfortunately this model does not have an ethernet port but the Roku 43" does have an ethernet port if you're willing to upgrade. As for turning off the Wi-Fi signal, the TV only connects to one internet source at a time so if the ethernet port is connected it wouldn't be searching for Wi-Fi.
