• The fun thing about Roku is that it lets you search and download what you want to watch, if you find it. Some are free and most live tv are not.

• No, an antenna will give you your locals. All your local channels are Free and in HD with an antenna. Roku will give you all the other "cable" channels. Most are free, some have a monthly fee, but a lot less than cable.
