• No, Roku Express is portable and can be used on another tv. Remember though that constant plugging and unplugging the hdmi cable could possibly damage cable or TV's hdmi receptacle. I have 3 Roku Express devices, 1 for each TV. Note: one remote control seems to work on all my Roku Express devices.

• The directions say one Roku works for up to two televisions. I am a cord cutter. I have no cable television or antenna. That being said I have no idea how one is supposed to make one Roku Express work for two non smart televisions at the same time. The instructions do NOT tell you how to do it, other than unplugging the Roku Express and plugging it into the other tv.
