• Yes, I personally use the streaming stick on all non smart tvs. It works great and the roku is great for all non smart tvs because it makes it a smart tv.

• Yes. The Stick is the smart part, for the exact reason you highlight, it turns any tv into a smart one for streaming. You just need an open HDMI port and somewhere to plug in the power. Either a USB port on the TV or a wall outlet with provided plug.

• If you have got a HDMI port that is free and available for use, then the streaming stick will work, whether it's a smart tv or not. This Streaming stick is what will make it smarter if nothing else. It does require to be plugged into the electrical outlet though, so make note of that too.
