“Can this be used without a hdmi cable if a home theater system is in place?”

• You can’t plug the roku into a cable as the ends are the same (male/ male). But you should be able to plug directly into your receiver and then just select that input (i.e. hdmi 1, 2, 3, etc) when you want to watch the roku.

• An HDMI cable is not required. The stick has an HDMI plug built into it. The stick plugs directly into an HDMI port in your TV.

• Yes no cable required only requirement is an available hdmi port. The stick acts as your hdmi cable.

• Not that I know of. The stick only comes with hdmi connection. Roku has different kinds of streaming divices, look into the other divices.
