“When you plug in the headphones does that kill the regular sound on the television or can you run both headphones and regular sound?”

• Sound will come only through the headphones when they are plugged into the remote. Note: headphones being plugged in will drain the remote's batteries very quickly.

• It shuts Off the audio To the TV. There may be setting to change that but I haven’t looked.

• When you plug headphones into the remote it does kill the speakers on the TV. I’m not aware of the ability to switch the TV speakers on and off when rhe headphones are plugged in.
