“I travel a lot for extended trips. Is this portable? Can I install at home then take it with me and use with a different TV in a rented condo and have it work in both places without too much hassle ?”

I would think you could. As long as the tv has an input (USB etc) that you could hook it in to. You might have to log in on a computer or smart phone when you do, but I use this on an outdoor projector we have a Roku TV. So it's sort of the same concept.

Yes the Streaming Stick models are designed for portability. Roku offers hotel/dorm connect for easy setup when traveling. Some channels use GEO location, so if you live in Chicago you will get local Chicago channels, if you travel to Miami you will get the local channels in Miami.
