Hi yira1278, So Yes and No.....depends what smart tv you have....why you ask, well the remote to navigate HULU or Amazon or Netflix sucks on smart tv's and takes forever to find what you are looking for. I have both smart tv's and and roku, as well as apple TV. I don't use the apps on my smart tv's because they take to much time and if you mess up you have to start all over. The roku gives you the most bang for your buck but if you all apple products, go for apple tv. the only downside to apple tv is no amazon prime, but thats why i have a roku as well. hope this has been helpful.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this will add more apps for your watching pleasure. Its ok to have a smart tv but I would rather recommend that you try roku first before buying a smart tv. Just connect it directly to your hdmi and your remote will automatically pair with your device. You also have the option to pair your iPhone to use as your remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think you should first sit down at. See what you already have on the Smart TV and What you would like to have on it , then make a decision based on your likes and dislikes of channels
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have both. I like the Roku much better. Easy to run and you can hook it up to different tvs, bring it with you when you travel, and easy to take any where!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on the applications that the tv comes with. But I would say 90% of the time NO need to buy
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it's up to you but a smart TV is a great buy. It enhance you television so much. But for me I have both the roku n a smart television. I love both how they both work in different ways.. I use both to there capability.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on if all of the content you want is on the smart TV. Look into what apps are offered on the TV versus the "channels" offered on Roku. You can find the list on their website. I hope this answers your question. And if you're just worried about some content not being available then I'd recommend a Chromecast.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You won't need Roku with a smart tv.
