No, you only need to have an hdmi port on your tv to plug the Roku stick into, as well as a router and an internet source because the stick streams from the internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no; just plug into HDMI port on back of tv. on your tv remote (not cable remote) choose the source the stick is using, i.e. HDMI 1 or HDMI 2. then the stick will prompt you what info you have to input. You can just leave it in the HDMI port if that port not needed for something else. To return to tv viewing: use your tv remote, press/choose Source or Input button. there are options to choose another HDMI port, component, tv, video, etc. whichever option your tv is hooked up then to scroll to that & select. then you are back into tv viewing. If you dont know the 'source' or input your tv is on, just try all of them & you'll eventually wind back up in tv viewing mode. when you are ready to use afain & you've left it in HDMI port, just use your tv remote (not cable remote). select the source/input & there it is.
