• The USB port on the Roku is designed for only one purpose, it allows connecting a storage device (USB stick, portable hard drive) and playing media from that device (video, music or images).

• Yes Roku player does have a USB port I can go on I don't know exactly all the uses for it but this new streaming player does a lot of things that the other ones did not
