“Will the remote turn off streaming when you turn off the roku box?”

• The Roku HDMI connection talks with our Sony TV. So when we return the Roku to its home screen and change the input on out TV, the Roku goes to sleep. The key is to return the Roku to the Roku screen.

• The Roku Ultra does not have an off switch. The power button on the top of the remote is for your tv power. It does have an auto off feature instead. I usually bring it back to the main menu before switching inputs or turning off my tv. It goes into screensaver mode after about 10 minutes of non-use. It's a very nice device in my opinion.

• The Roku box never really shuts off unless you unplug it. It does go into screensaver mode after a while.

• The Roku Ultra easily pairs with your tv or monitor and the on-off button on the Roku remote will then control the tv or monitor as well. The Roku itself has a small led light which is always on to show that it is powered.
