Can I request that you remove the batteries when I buy this? Then place a label/note on it that says no batteries included? null

I'm sure your helpful neighborhood Best Buy employee would be happy to remove the batteries after you purchase the box. If a label is not available, would a post it note suffice?

Really? Why would someone ask for that ... anyway, the batteries are sealed in the box, not in the control. 
If you need to remove it for any security reasons - then it is best to open it and remove it yourself before doing whatever is the situation

My Roku Ultra came with batteries. They were separate in the box and not already installed.
