“Can a person that’s hard of hearing use the headphones as an additional way to listen? Meaning my family can still hear it through the tv but I would also have the headphones in to hear it better since they like to debate/talk about what we’re watching”

The headphones are designed to use as a do not disturb feature. Meaning once you plug them in the TV no one can hear it but you.

Another option is the free Roku Mobile App which supports private listening, allowing up to four mobile devices to use the feature at the same time. When private listening is activated, you will not hear audio from your TV speakers. Please Note when using private listening on the Roku Mobile App, both your Roku device and your mobile device need to be on the same network.
