It gets the job done. If the video is 3 hours, it takes 3 hours to convert. I had to look at YouTube videos in order to get it working. But yes, it does exactly what it says.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it works and I have not used the tech support but the people at the Best Buy were great.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have 2 of them. They work well I do have video/audio lag issue from time to time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Roxio has been a staple of software for Mac audio for a couple of decades. The is the first time I have bought any video devices from them. The apps are, as I expected, very usable. The transfer app is simple enough for an amateur. You may have to restart your mac when you start up the app after it prompts you to plug in the video capture device. The disk also has a very usable DVD authoring app. Easier by far than the iDVD application the your mac came with. Also you can author dvds of other video using the app not just what you tranferred with Roxio. It's a good idea to read up on file formats etc. and how to use iMovie. Believe it or don't the older iMovie (6) versions are very good if you can find them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this device works very well and is very easy in converting VHS to a digital or DVD format It is very simple to set up you only need to have a VCR the audio and video video jack cords. the ROXIO comes with the other cords a computer with enough memory and ram download the software have an external back up drive is best this allows the videos captured to be stored it has been very simple I have converted over 45 tapes and the quality turned out is very good I’m using these videos in my classes. I feel that I got my money’s worth. I have not made DVDs of recordings because I can play the video on my computer. but if you are going to make Dvd you need this already on computer and the cd/dvd burner internal or external.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has worked for me. I have not tried to get any tech support for it so I cannot respond to that part of your question. I will tell you that you will get better results when using a stereo VCR than one that is only mono. Try to get your hands on a better quality VCR in good condition with clean heads. If your VCR or your VHS tapes are in poor condition, you may have some issues with it locking up and not working. It seems like you would just get a poor result with bad tapes, but the software seems to lock up sometimes if the signal coming in is extremely poor quality, providing no result at all. My better tapes have transferred just fine. Also, for editing purposes, it is much easier to use this program to create a file and then open it with iMovie to use the "split clip" feature for cutting out bad sections or any other editing you might want to do. Although I would not call this program perfect, there are very few affordable options for VHS transfer to MAC, and this is the best one I have tried so far.
