However there are exceptions, some games require updates to remove the need or compatibility with the IR sensor which is not included on the NSW2 Joycon 2 controllers Other particular titles require patches for the NSW2 system clock speed. Some games will receive free updates, but there will be particular games that will require additional cost to access the improved NSW2 hardware, these games generally also come with additional features. There are likely patches in development or soon to be in development once all the publishers get access to development kits by October 2025. In short, you will be able to play most games but some games may have minor bugs or glitches until those issues are addressed, but a few games won't work at launch. Please check the Official Nintendo website for the full compatibility list which is updated every two weeks.
