A:AnswerThe smart phone apps work pretty good for controlling Tello. If you want an external controller, I recommend that you get a wired controller for your smartphone. The Bluetooth controllers interfere with the Tello datalink limiting the range. I use the Rotor Riot controller with an iPhone and it works great. I have also used a Gamevice controller and it worked well also.
A:AnswerIt records directly to your phone when you fly it through the app. If you fly out with a Bluetooth controller you will not get a video unless you have both your phone and the controller connected.
