Check your windows device manager and make sure that the drive is formatted. Your pc might not see the drive with it not formatted properly.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a similar problem when I first connected the adapter to a to a mechanical SATA drive. I learned that, because this adapter is only a connector and not an enclosure, the connections between the adapter and drive must be very precise and tight.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your must format the drive. Right click on "This Pc" on your desktop-click on device manager. Locate new drive that has no letter assigned to it. Click in the box next to the drive, then right click & partition the drive & format it.
