• No. It just enough room to fit the phone itself i was hoping also but not everybody likes a case so I see why they didn't

• No it cannot. I bought this because the makers said it could. It cannot. Had to take both sides off to squeeze into the charger.

• Yes, that is how it works. There is a button to push when you want it to charge the phone.
