yes you can close it although its just kind of lose in there if imbeing completely honest i ordered the actual samsung keyboard off of ebay for cheaper then this one and its so much better in every aspect i was very dissappointed in this keyboard honestky the case is cheap the keyboard is cheap do nt reccomend
