“Does this case just cover the top of the laptop? Or does the entire computer slip into it? If so, how does it close? The pictures look like it just covers the top. If so, it should be called a cover, not a case.”

Hi, This case clips on to the top and bottom of the laptop giving it great protection. The laptop does not slip into it, so you will be able to open and close your laptop with ease. Hope this helps! -SaharaCase Support
