“I own this mic and plug it in to my laptop. When I play back, it seems to skip words. I have tried recording with the switch in the middle and bottom position (not the one with a pic of headphones) and it still skips or drops words. Suggestions?”

I suspect it is your computer rather than the mic. On voice playback, my computer often cuts out all or part of a first word. For whatever reason, playing back a second or third time will usually result in a complete playback. I've not found a proper correction for the problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m not sure exactly what the problem is from this info alone. What program are you using to record? I’ve been using Audacity (free) to record with this mic and not having issues. I’m also able to voice chat on Discord with no issues.
