• Thanks for your question. The drop bottom portion of this bag is structured, and the top portion is not allowing for easy packing and separation of items.

• It will NOT hold any shape when empty. No part of this bag is reinforced or solid besides the bottom where the wheels and metal frame houses the extendable handle. The bottom is barely lined with a cover and not completely flat and you can still feel the metal frame for the handle. So you are laying your clothes, etc right on top of the metal frame. Use caution if trying to use this bag for anything breakable or not well protected.

• Not really. It is soft material. So can does not hold its total shape. Can be pressed down almost flat. Is a nice bag.
