Hi Nick. Thank you for reaching out regarding your Samsung - 1.6 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave if the "beep" of this unit can be silenced. Regarding your concern, yes, this can be silenced. You can use the Sound On/Off feature to mute the microwave. It is usually part of the Options or Settings menu. Here is the link on how to switch off the beep from the microwave.
