“when did samsung first release the smh1816s? i see a lot of negative reviews on smh1816s relating to the se / 5e keypad error. if these people are saying in their 2012 reviews that they bought 2 years ago or in 2010, how can these be true if unit was released in 2011? most negative reviews on amazon home depot and lowes but very few show as verified purchases. I would love to repsond to each and everyone with factual information of the first date that a smh1816s could have been purchased. thanks”

Samsung just change the model number to get around it. Mine only lasted two years too. It was cheaper to go buy a new one!!
