I bought this because my other 1.8 cf micro stopped just months after the two year extended warranty. After much research I found that these over-the-range's have an issue with steam from the cooking surface frying the controller board. The part alone was $150, so I opted to replace it. I had to drill new holes to mount it in the upper cabinet, but like the unit fine. It's been in less than a week, but the first thing I cooked besides reheating something was baked potatoes. Almost the whole door fogged up. So I need to contact them to hopefully just come and swap the door. I really liked my Sammy until it stopped working. These fans are very loud too, but so was the other.

I really like 99% of this microwave. Great value for the cost, overall. I recommend being extremely careful when handling the sides of this microwave as the shell is very thin in my opinion. Mine is now noticeably dented on the left side, if I'm facing the microwave. The sensor cooking is great. The only feature that hasn't worked great is the 1lb defrost choice. We usually freeze our burger by the pound in balls. We may need to flatten our frozen burger beforehand for better results when defrosting. The under carriage light could be brighter or have a two socket option. There are four exaust fan speeds but they are equally as loud, not a big deal personally. The wall template was very helpful, you may want to use tacks instead of tape when using the top section.

I read a lot of reviews and noted concerns from noise to breaking in 6-24 months. Couldn't resist the sale price of about $230. Given the issues noted in the reviews I bought the $25 two yr in-home protection agreement. While I almost never buy extenDed warranties, the $1 per month was good piece of mind. Very very happy with the purchase, ex the dents in the back, which can't be seen after it was installed

Setup installation was not too hard. Friends that visit are always complimentary about its good looks and amazement that it has a metal shelf!

We bought this to replace another microwave whose control panel no longer worked. Opted for the same brand, reluctantly, as sizewise it was the best fitt for the space. So far micro works great, cooks well, has lots of nice features. I especially like the sound mute feature and the econo key which allows one to shut off the light display when not in use. The door does not fit as tightly as I would like and feels a bit flimsy. Turntable works well and stays seated in its groove, a big improvement over last micro. At this point am well pleased with purchase. Hope it will last longer than the last one!

Purchased this microwave to match the new oven we purchased at Best Buy. Installed easily with the template that was included. We don't use a microwave much except for reheating leftovers, and this one does more than we need. Easy to use and large enough for a big plate/container. We looked at a lower priced model, but that one did not have a turntable or center rack, so decided to go up one model. It was on sale so price difference was not much more than the lower end model and we are now glad we spent the extra money. Heats up food fast.

It is a nice size for over the stove microwave. It has many diferent features.It has many different one touch reheat settings.The 4 speed fan setting is a nice feature.The under the light is nice with two different settings so you could use it as a night light at night.

This microwave seems to be louder than it should be. It has ample space inside and plenty of features. All in all it does what it should for a decent price. Installation was easy.

Looks great with samsung range/oven. Easy to install. Keypad numbers are very small, having to push hard on the keypad has me worried as to how long it will last.

Having installed overhead microwave ovens before, I found this one to be relatively painless. Good install instructions provided, fairly easy install. These OH microwave ovens can be a pain to install. Be thinking about if there is a power outlet for the micro above in the cabinet and how you want to vent exhaust. In our house, we had a range hood that was direct wired. Had to route these wires into cabinet above and install an outlet box and power outlet as the micro comes with a cord. If it were not the dead of Winter, I'd have looked at venting the exhaust directly out the back of the wall the micro is installed on an exterior wall. However, not wanting to attempt this in Winter, plus concerns that grease may accumulate on exterior of the house, exhaust is vented in the kitchen like the previous hood was. However, keep the parts for this whatever decision you make as it can be changed in the future. Was a little disappointed in how the oven fit to the cabinet above. Where the bolts go that penetrate the OH cabinet bottom, the micro fits tight, but there is minor sagging between and beyond the bolts. Not visible unless you are close and tall enough like I am to see it. As is the case with OH micros, they are rather pricey. All in all, it looks impressive in the kitchen and functions well.

The microwave is larger than most. When warming up a coffee mug you do not have to remove the shelve! There are different quick function keys to help the warming up process. There is one for heating up food on a plate and one for kids meals. The design is sleek and modern looking even in white!

Overall this is a great-looking, easy to use micro/hood combo. I do miss a couple often-used one touch button my previous microwave had, but I'm getting used to it. Also the cook surface light could be brighter.

We upgraded our stove and refrigerator to Samsung models and added the microwave as well. It matches the other appliances perfectly and is very sleek looking. Operates very easily and there are four different fan speeds which is very nice. Best Buy had a great sale on this unit over the 4th of July holiday and that's when we decided to purchase. Really like all of our Samsung products....kitchen, laundry appliances and TVs!

Easy to use, easy to install, plenty of room for large jobs. The price is very reasonable as well.

LOVE the sleek design. The temperature seems to cook evenly and very fast! I also love the different option buttons to choose what you are cooking or reheating.

Installation went well, has performed well, and is easy to use. For the price, I think it is excellent so far. The controls are good, with 2 exceptions. The 'buttons' are not quite as sensitive as I would like (which is better than being too sensitive), and it would be nice if the 'start' button was green (the stop button is red). That would help in picking it out of the other buttons. Otherwise, everything else seems great. Love the multiple (4) fan speeds.

Did my due diligence and after looking at different units I decided to purchase this over the range microwave from Samsung. It installed easily with existing ductwork which allows top or backside duct connection. It work and looks great and we are pleased with the purchase.

Well, as my review summary says, it's a microwave. I have never had one in the past that doesn't do what it's supposed to so this one does not stand out from the rest. However, it does match the rest of my Samsung appliances in my kitchen which is excellent. It comes with an optional shelf, but I have never needed a shelf when using a microwave before. The glass turntable is easy to take out and clean, so that is a plus. It is easy to set the time, and easy to use all of the features you want a microwave for.
