“The suction doesn't seem to be working at all, every time we cook the house smells like food. I have a vent going outside, I'm thinking I missed a step during installation. Please help. Thanks”

I rotated the vent in the back of microwave before installation. It works perfect.

Please try again later.Hey Chuck, So I have installed two of these units and before installing them I always plugged them in to make sure the fan was spinning the right direction. I’m guessing it’s one of two things the first being what I just mentioned the fan may be spinning the wrong direction and 2, your exhaust duck work may have an obstruction or it’s not connected to the microwave very well. Hope that helps good luck. FYI flipping the exhaust fan in the unit is very very simple.
