When I bought this, I had an option to buy Office 365, which has Word. However, if you have a Gmail account, you can use Google Drive, which has Google Docs, which is Google's equivalent to Word. I have been using Google Doc's for several years, and the documents you produce from there are 100% compatible with Microsoft Word.

They're just like your Old time Desktops. Anything today's regular laptop can do The Chromebook can do it just as well.
