Yes, I use it work at home and it works wonderfully. Speed is pretty fast and it's very user friendly.

This chromebook (4GB) is not heavy, but I would have say that my older chromebook (2GB) was much lighter and was no problem to carry around in my backpack (i.e. when you have a ton of other textbooks to carry, you want a laptop that doesn't take up too much space or add a lot of weight - the 4GB should be fine but the older 2GB models are even better for this purpose). Battery life is respectable. My only issue is that printing from the chromebook is hit and miss (some say you just need a cloud ready printer but this has not helped me with the printing process).
