“Does this model Chromebook have the water resistant keyboard? The Chromebook 3 indicates that it does and is pretty rugged. Does it come with the battery? How long does the battery last? This would be for my 12 year old grandson for school.”

• Yes, has internal battery with a adapter cord to charge it up. takes up to two hours to charge up. depending on what programs are running. perhaps five good hours before charging again may be longer. I would treat it as a computer and not have no drinks or food around it.

• The "quick start" guide that came with mine said to keep away from food and drinks. None of the materials make any mention of a spill-resistant keyboard, like the XE500C13-S02US did. And I'm not about to test mine by pouring water on it. :)
