How long will this Chromebook receive updates? null

Probably about as long as your warranty.

Check with Google directly to be sure, but I think any Chrome device essentially gets supported for the life of the device. I had a Chromebox (the desktop equivalent) for over 3 years, and it was always supported. This isn't like a phone where access to OS updates are dictated by the manufacturer. When you buy a Chromebook, you log directly into Google to launch the device whenever you turn it on, so your Chromebook is always checking for updates directly from Google, and the moment an update is available, it automatically updates in the background, seamlessly. It's one of the things I love most about it.
