Does it have a word processor? Yes and no. One runs Google Docs on it, and that works fine when you are connected. (All the apps on a Chromebook run in the cloud.) I am connected 99% of the time, so no issue. If you are not connected, you will have problems, especially if your files are stored in the cloud which is the default. I am not expert in Google Docs, I expect you could save locally and view them, but it is not obvious to me how to do that. I run Office 365 on it, which also runs in the cloud. It supports local copies better. I store files on a SIMM card. This works great, and I use the same Office 365 subscription that I bought for my Mac. Greg
