I bought one on 6/16/22 and the AUE is June 2027.

Chromebooks have a 5 year life expectancy. After 5 years, the computer will continue to work but you will no longer have automatic security updates. You cannot purchase security for chromebooks. It is included for the life of the product (5 years). It's a great deal if you need a simple laptop for less expense. Not having to pay extra for security is well worth it for the 5 years.
