This charger expects to receive 15 watts of power, which is more than the USB port on most computers will put out. You are supposed to use a proper charger that draws AC power and converts it to DC. If all you have is the USB port for charging, it would be faster to just use a cable to connect from the USB port to your phone and not use the wireless charger.
