If chose to purchase the samsung 17.5 cu ft french door model, and i live in an old building complex, i understand that this model comes with an ice maker inside the unit but i would like to not use the ice maker function, would that be possible? null

Hi Kiki, you do not have to install the water line, if you do not intend on using the ice maker. You will want to make sure the ice maker is turned off after it is installed.  ^Rosi

Yes, the icemaker does not have to be used.

Yes. Just hit the "Ice off" button on the upper left side of the controls.

It works for me. I don't have it plumbed for ice and the delivery guy told me to do that.
