“Does the ice maker have to be hooked up or can you leave it not hooked up to a water supply? (A water supply line is not easily available where I want to position the refrigerator)”

We put this in our garage, and didn't hook up the ice maker. We are using the entire space as refrigerator.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HI.. For the ice maker to work, you need to connect it to a water supply. If that is not convenient, then maybe you should look at another model without the ice maker. Otherwise, if the ice maker is not used, you will waste freezer space since you would have to use conventional ice trays. Additionally, why pay for a future your cannot use. Hope this helps.
