Yes it will stay in freezer mode in my experience if the power goes out.

This model by default is a freezer section on top and a refrigerator section on bottom; and the freezer section is able to be converted to refrigerator temperatures. However, in the event of a power outage, food spoilage may still occur. ^Jecca
