Thanks for your interest in the RF20HFENBSR. This model does not have a built-in water filtration system, but the manual includes instructions for attaching an external filter. I would suggest contacting your local Best Buy Appliance Team or a local plumber for assistance selecting a filter that will meet your needs. Very easy to replace filter, it is in a convenient place inside the fridge. I have not seen a difference in my electric bill since buying this model but then my previous refrigerator was pretty old.
