“caption turns on with Mute function? I want to replace the Sharp LCD tv in my kitchen but don't want to give up my favorite feature. When I press the mute button on the remote, the sound mutes and closed caption automatically starts. Does this unit have the same feature??”

• Don't think so. You can mute TV, and button is clearly marked. However, to go to closed captioning I'm pretty sure you have to go through the menu.

• The closed caption option does not automatically engage when "MUTE" is enabled. You can switch the caption function on or off only. Thanks for your interest in Samsung televisions. --Mr.Samsung
