I just had this issue when I set up my new samsung TV. Using the optical, the TV and cable remote volume wasn't working. Had to use the soundbar remote. There was no way I was gonna do that. After messing with it for an hour, I decided to connect the soundbar with the hdmi instead of the optical. I changed the audio setting in the TV back to tv and it worked. All the remotes control the volume now. My old Samsung TV that was 4 years old was able to control the volume while hooked up through the optical, idk why I couldn't figure out the new one. If anyone reading this knows the answer, please let me know. My new TV only has 2 hdmi outlets, so I would like to get the 1 back. (this TV was free through t mobile). My old one has 3 hdmi, but it started getting the white dots, so I need this new one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Need more information... Are you using the TV remote or Cable remote or Satellite remote? Are you connecting your sound bar by Bluetooth, optical cable. HDMI? Need this information before I can offer any assistance. You also could go on line ....samsung.com Support... Home Theater... there is good informational instructions there. More than likely a Chat screen will also be there and if you want help from a rep use the chat. Let me know how you make out. By the way ... you model K460 is actually a K450. K460 is the model number used by Best Buy only. but it is actually a K450. Good Luck.
