Yes, the orientation of the subwoofer is not relevant to its operation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm guessing you want to lay it flat on the wide side and, yes, I THINK it would work, although I've never tried when I had mine. If it matters to you, the woof will be shooting straight up into the air and the shiny, "decorative" side will be facing down. Not sure if the internal mechanics of the speaker are designed to operate that way. One potential problem for sure would be vibration so I'd recommend putting those small rubber nubs (Home Depot, Lowes) on the side you lay it on.
