Connection to the soundboard from sub is via BT. Connection is solid, as I’ve never had an issue with it disconnecting between the two. I love the soundbar now as much as I did when I first set it up. I’m in a townhouse so I can’t unleash it (2/10 on sub, 10/30+; any higher and bad day lol), but it fills a 20x15 room with 9’ ceilings no issue. You can configure all that (distance and direction of the sound, ceiling height, etc all during setup and in menus).
