Can the volume be controlled with the tv remote null

The volume can be controlled with the tv remote if you are connected through TVSOUNDCONNECT. However you have to go into the tv's settings and select bluetooth/ soundconnect and select the soundbar. I also have a 8500s samsung TV. So most likely if you have a samsung tv (a newer version) it will control the volume on the soundbar (if its samsung). I dont know why the above poster cant control his soundbar volume with the tv remote.

Unless your TV remote is one of the good aftermarket ones, no. I have this to go with my Samsung 8500 curved UHD tv and it requires both remotes. The TV remote can be used to change to cable box though. Hope this helps.
