Yes, this item can turn on and off with the source.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The short answer is YES, this soundbar has the ability to be controlled (i.e. will turn on and off, adjust volume, etc.) by the source. However, you must use the HDMI connection plugged into the TV's ARC port and enable anynet + on both your TV and Soundbar (this is how I am using it there may be addition ways that I am not aware of) BTW - never pay more than ten dollars for an HDMI cable. As long as the cable is High speed with Ethernet it will meet your needs.
