I purchased the Samsung HW-M450. The sub-woofer has low volume. I have tried all recommendations many times. I have to stick my ear up to the sub-woofer to hear anything. I have researched all possibilities in the manual and on line, still the same. null

A Subwoofer (or sub) is a woofer, or a complete loudspeaker, which is dedicated to the reproduction of low-pitched audio frequencies known as BASS. You need to listen for sound effects with BASS.

Mine does the same, can barely hear the sub even at 50 out of 100. The Visio was better, now I have to pack it all up and go back AGAIN...Visio had noticeably better bass. The Samsung remote is better but this is a deal breaker. Will return for the 5.1 Visio. Both are $199.00. Bummer

It’s not supposed to be loud as it’s not a typical speaker as you know it but used for bass .
