I just got this soundbar tonight and connected it to my Echo Dot. You use the Bluetooth connection. Set the soundbar to Bluetooth, and if you need to, enter pairing mode (see the manual). If you have not yet paired any Bluetooth devices, it will automatically enter pairing mode. Then use the Alexa app on your phone to connect your Echo to the soundbar. The cool thing is the soundbar supports Bluetooth Power On, so you can turn it on with Alexa. When the Echo is playing music (or whatever), just say "Alexa. Connect to Bluetooth" and this will power on the soundbar (if it is off) and play the audio out the soundbar. You can also switch back to your Echo speaker by saying "Alexa. Disconnect from Bluetooth". If you are using a different source on the soundbar and want to switch to Alexa, you have to switch sources using the remote. Not a big hassle, as I am not often switching between TV audio and Echo audio.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can connect an Echo Dot using either the AUX port or Bluetooth. When using Bluetooth connection, music will not play but all other audio will. Only the AUX connection supports playing music from the Echo Dot.
