How do I hook my sub woofer up , only the bar is playing null

We never could get ours to stay connected. After 4 days, we exchanged the Samsung model for an LG soundbar system that immediately connected and stays connected and sounds better than the Samsung. Plus, the LG soundbar/subwoofer were $50 cheaper than the Samsung.
