• It turns off automatically when idle but has to be turned on with remote control.

• Hi trailblazer15, when Auto Power Link function is enabled, the Soundbar powers on automatically when it detects a digital signal. If you have the Soundbar connected to the TV using an Optical Audio cable and turn off the Soundbar but not the TV, the Soundbar will come back on since it's detecting a signal from the TV. If you power off the TV but leave the Soundbar on, the Soundbar will power off after about 20 minutes of standby since it's not receiving a digital signal. ^Rosi
