• I would turn the speakers on your TV all the way down. I have read this and have been told buy a cable tech that if your using a sound bar then you should turn your TV speakers down to enjoy the soundbar.

• Yes, you are doing yourself a disservice having sound come through the bar and the TV.

• 100% yes, mute or lower the tv volume to zero, most tv's dont have good speakers and when you raise the volume on them too much they cause problems in the future, the added speakers are all you need for great sound
