According to the Samsung HW-T510 User Manual, you can purchase accessories separately to mount the soundbar on the wall. My Samsung TV is not wall mounted, and the soundbar fits perfectly underneath my Samsung Crystal UHD 7 Series TV (model UN58TU7000F) TV on our credenza.

I would think yes, I've always read that the bass component of the sound (subwoofers) is not directional, so the speaker location/orientation doesn't matter, like with the other speaker components.
As long as you don't have it laying face down on the floor, I think it would be fine.
